Our March Chi of the Month is Goliath!
Goliath’s photo was sent to us by Roseanne Coggan from Denver, Colorado, USA
This is what Goliath’s mom told us:
“Goliath likes to always be by my side. Goliath is my P.T.S.D. service dog .I got him from a local animal shelter and they got him and 49 other chihuahuas from a puppy mill raid. When I got him he was 6 yrs old and he will be 11 yrs old on April 25th (2020).
My little Goliath has been the best little dog I have ever had the pleasure of owning. He eats a freeze-dried raw diet with organic supplements. He doesn’t play very often but he likes small stuffed squeaky toys. Since I got him and had him trained as my service dog I have gone from twice daily night terrors to 2 to 3 a year and my anxiety attacks are down to 1 or 2 per month from 20 per month.
He travels with me in my power wheelchair and learned quickly how to walk alongside it it only took him about 3 hours to love it and it took him a week to learn how to jump up on my footrests and stand on his hind legs so I can pick him up easily. He weighs in a mere 3.5 lbs. And is my best little buddy.”
