Anyone that knows me knows that I am NOT a crafter. They also know that I love DIY dog clothes! Well, I like to look at them. I have no talent for making anything at all. In fact, I really don’t have a talent for anything, except — I hope — for writing. But only you can be the judge of that!
I have lots of friends though, that are excellent crafters! I know that many of you are crafters or want-to-be crafters. I still love to find cute crafty things and I think: “I could do that!”, even though I know I won’t.
So, instead, I thought why waste all those cute crafty things that I find many times while researching a completely different subject? I decided that I should share them with you!
Now you don’t have to scour the vast world wide web to find the projects that you are looking for! If you are looking for DIY for Chihuahuas and small dog clothing projects, you will find them all here — eventually!

DIY Dog Shirt from a Onsie
This project caught my eye because number one, it’s simply adorable! You can put any saying on it you want using heat transfer vinyl. (Lindsey tells you where to find those.) I love anything that you can personalize.
It looks like an easy DIY project (let me know if you make this) to make. It’s one of those “I could make that!” projects that I will probably never make. But you can! If you are just getting started with DIY dog clothes, this is the one to start with.
I don’t have babies anymore, — well, not two-legged ones anyway — but I don’t think new onesies are very expensive.
But, what would be even better than buying new ones? Recycle used ones from your local thrift store or garage sale. I don’t do crafts, but I LOVE garage sales! Thank you, Lindsey, for sharing this cute DIY project!
Recycled Dog Sweater
Do you like to sew? What I love about this project is it looks easy if you sew AND it is eco-friendly because it is recycled!
Do you have ugly old sweaters at home that you’ve been meaning to take to Goodwill? It may be ugly on a human, but not on a dog!
I’m thinking Christmas time and those old ugly Christmas sweaters you still have in a drawer somewhere or on the tippy-top shelf in the closet.
Now you don’t need to take them anywhere, you can upcycle them instead! If not, visit your local Goodwill or thrift store. Very economical. Be sure to email me if you try this project or tag me in Social Media.
